TEXT MATES? WEBCAM BABIES? EYE BALLS? WTH?

I was at peace watching TV alone as I try to reach out for the remote that fell because of the fact that I freaked out after a weird guy with the voice of a sad, old unemployed jejemon asked me if I was Trish, then immediately I stayed silent and hung up the phone. Then, just when I thought it was over, to my disappointing surprise, he texted me and asked with no holding back if I was Trisha, and he wanted to meet up because he wants to see me. Is that even legal? I mean, WTH? I'm not saying that this is my first time, but it's way freaky 'cause this hasn't happened to me for months now, plus, my number is exclusive to what, like, 20 people more or less?
I don't even understand why people want "text mates". It seems so irrelevant and icky. Who would want to text someone they don't even know personally? Who would want to meet up with someone who's probably lying about his or hes own identity probably because he/she can't get laid or has no job and friends whatsoever?

I AM NOT SAYING THAT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE AGAINST MY WORDS ARE BELOW DECENT, OKAY?

This is just on my point of view- my side of the issue. Take it or leave it, but I know I'm not the only one who's experiencing these frustrations. With this, I therefore conclude that this is indeed something all of us go through, but it depends on the individual whether they want to stop it, or keep on making the situation worse.

Your choice.
