ME AS A HOTEL HOUSE-KEEPER?

REPOST! (We had a subject, Philo-102, that asked us to work UNDERCOVER. Yes, they didn't know we were students of Ateneo. We worked for 2 days)

As promised, here's the follow-up post from my previous one, "2 Days Of Being a _____; Undercover".

As you've read and seen the photos I posted from my previous post, it's sort of like I was going to be a saleslady, eh? Well, you're wrong. I got the responsibility of being a HOUSEKEEPER at Grand Astoria Hotel.

NOT MY PHOTO! IT WAS FORBIDDEN TO USE ANY GADGET DURING DUTY. SORRY.

With sweat dripping violently down my face as I try to wipe it with my sleeve, but completely fail to do so, I've swept, mopped, cleaned comfort rooms, tables, windows, even air-con(ditioner)s!! Today was so tiring- it's like being a nurse on duty, only a lot, lot harder. I hate the feeling of trying to get my handkerchief, but sadly unable to because my hands were full- a broom on my right hand, and a dirty rag/towel on my left. It's not like I'm being
maarte, but it's just so tiring to be so busy for 9 STRAIGHT HOURS, and only 45 minutes of break to make up for all the hard work. My hunger meter was at its peek, and the sweat secreted out from my dying pores were as active as ever! (Woah dying and being active at the same time. Wicked.)

Oh, and it was so fun to hide our true identity! Eating where employees eat, and having discounts as they do, too. Lol It was a great feeling to meet new people! xx

With the staff. :)

Look! I even have my own LOCKER. Haha!

2 DAYS. Hmmm.. It's okay. Just the right period to be exposed to a new "world". Now I know the hardships that those workers go through just to keep themselves, and their loved ones alive, even for a price not as high as expected. I'm very thankful that I'm blessed with the things I have today. Hooray! for the successful day of being a house-keeper!!
